There are lots of good resources to find out what’s going on around Cape Ann. We’ve mentioned Good Morning Gloucester (thanks Joey C. for your inspiration) and Gimme Sound. But another great resource is the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce. I often find myself drifting to this site when looking for something to do on a certain day, week, or just to see what’s happening around town over the next month. It’s always up to date on what is going on at the Shalin Liu Performance Center in Rockport and the North Shore Music Theater. It’s also a great way to findout what’s going on for kids in the arts and music.
And let’s not forget about capeannvacations.com. Before moving to Gloucester Rich and I have planned summers around this site and what’s happening around the other cape. It has detailed information about Festivals and Special Events. One event I always see on this site and we’ve never gotten to (maybe this will be the year) is the Essex Music Festival.
Keep an eye on both these sites to see when and where local musicians are playing, special events, and festivals.
